Sitting in Washington Dulles, dropping in on one side of a phone conversation happening next to me. One guy talking to another about his misogyny at work.
Guy on Phone: "No, but it’s super misogynistic, dude. Really."
Guy on Phone: "No. I mean, you don’t have to think of everyone that way, bro. I’m just trying to be your friend because people are going to start to notice."
Guy on Phone: "I’m not saying you have to be best friends…it’s not like you have to be…overly friendly. But a simple hello? Just being…cordial? Like…you appreciate her as a person…and her contributions? Like you’re not ignoring her? It’s mean."
Guy on Phone: "Please. You went to public school half your life. You can’t keep blaming everything on being a sheltered NHA kid."
Guy on Phone: "I think you flatter yourself. Not everything is the Emily Debacle of 2015."
Two things. 1.) I want to give this guy on the phone a medal. And, 2.) I want to meet this ‘Emily’ character and hear all about the debacle of 2015.
