I’ve been checking on Syd all day. He goes to the top of the hedge because he can glide down from there almost ten feet. On the ground, his hops barely manage two feet. But at some point I have to stop micromanaging his little 4 week old decisions and let him launch himself off the hedge, even if it does land between the garbage cans on the street. Or I could prevent him leaving and stress him the hell out. I bet the parent crows will leave me alone next year.
